Joshua A. Smith was appointed as Howard Village Administrator on October 30, 2006.
Mr. Smith received a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Public Management from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Organizational Behavior & Management from the University of Sioux Falls.
He is a graduate of the University of Virginia's Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service Senior Executive Institute (2006) and the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute (2000). He has also completed the following professional programs and/or received the following certifications:
ICMA Gettysburg Leadership Institute - Class of 2009
Leadership ICMA - Class of 2008
ICMA Credentialed Manager - July 1, 2008
Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth Economic Development Basic Course - July 1999
He is an active member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and the Wisconsin City/County Management Association (WCMA). Professionally, he serves on the following committees:
ICMA Center for Performance Measurement Leadership Committee
ICMA International Committee (Chair, Professional Development Sub-Committee)
WCMA Next Generation Committee (Co-Chair)
Mr. Smith is a member of the downtown Rotary Club of Green Bay, where he serves on the Board of Directors and co-chairs the annual Free Enterprise Award Dinner. He also serves on the Board of Directors of ADVANCE - Green Bay Area Economic Development.
