Velp Avenue Reconstruction
This project will reconstruct Velp Avenue from Military Avenue to Memorial Drive to replace worn pavement and sewer systems. The road will be constructed as a four-lane undivided roadway with a partial grass median installed near the Military Avenue and Melody Drive intersections. Sidewalk and ten-foot wide grass terraces (between the roadway and the sidewalk) will be installed on both sides of the roadway. Roundabouts will be installed at the Military Avenue and Memorial Drive intersections. Velp Avenue will remain open to traffic during construction, but it will be reduced to a single travel lane in the widened roadway footprint and intersection modifications. Impacts and modifications to existing driveways along the project are expected.

Glendale Avenue Reconstruction
The stretch of Glendale Avenue from Evergreen Avenue to Spring Green Road will be reconstructed in 2010. The project will reconstruct the road bed and shift it slightly to the east. The project will also include sidwalk construction on both sides of the road and the extension of sewer and water utilities up to Spring Green Road.
